Reporting the change of address in Korea

If there's an cases for all foreign residents in Korea must report their change of address to the immigration office within 14 days of their move.  

If the change is NOT reported,  100,000 KRW (or more) will be fined.

How to change your address?

For changingi your addrss in Korea you can go toy our local district office(community center, 동사무소) and get it done taking not very much time without an appointment, and also free of charge, but some of documents are needed:

• Signed Lease (new house contract with your name on it)
• Passport
• Alien Registration Card (ARC)

When you get to the counter, present your documents and ask to change your address.

 

Or the other way you can do is go to the Korean Immigration Office (appointment is required) or change your address online in HiKorea.kr, If you are late in reporting your address change, immigration officials are also less lenient than Gu office clerks when it comes to fines.
